What to bring: (bathing suit optional), towel, sunscreen, BYOB, and something for the potluck dinner

Dinner Details: 
  • "We will provide the meat, a combination of chicken, pork and Italian sausage. Everyone can bring sides and dessert. I will have the grill on if anyone wanted to cook something just for them." 
  • Grill will be fired up at 5:30 PM; potluck dinner to begin at 6:00 PM
  • Sign-up in the comments section below with what you plan to bring for potluck.
  • BYOB (bring your own beverages); ice chest/ice provided

     Website: "The Flying Fish is born out of a love for the many East Texas Fish Joints available on area lakes, especially Caddo Lake. We sell gobs of fresh catfish, shrimp and oysters, grilled fish, shrimp cocktail, fish cocktail, crab legs, burgers, chicken and mudbugs (crawfish) in season. A specialty selection of grilled salmon, trout or tilapia is also offered each day. Ice cold Tap and bottled Beer, wine and home made margaritas are also served.
     “We have great hamburgers, chicken tenders and fresh salads galore. If you want us to top your salad with a piece of grilled fish, we have that too.”

John: Both the fajita beef and chicken enchiladas were very good. Probably among the best I've had and cheaper than other good ones like Mi Cocina. Rice and beans were also above average. I will definitely return.

Yahoo Contributor: I have been to Las Ranitas a couple of times, and their food is good and fresh. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is friendly.
